OUR MISSION
The Foundation’s mission is to support the underserved youth in the Dallas metropolitan area through delivery of high-quality mentoring and outreach initiatives. Our programming focuses on the importance of education, development of character, self-esteem, teaching life skills, and the promotion of good citizenship. To carry out its mission, the Sankofa Foundation has partnered leading non-profit and local educational institutions to have a greater influence on the lives of our youth.
ALPHA LEGACY GROUP
The Alpha Legacy Group is the youth mentorship program of the Sankofa Foundation. It's objectives include:

Encourage teamwork, peer mentoring, accountability, and learning through academic, financial, college readiness, career and life skills.

Increase male mentoring relationships with young males inside and outside the classroom environment.

Encourage young youth to continue to excel in their educational and future endeavors.
ALPHA LEGACY CELEBRATION
An evening of scholarship and community as the Sankofa Foundation of Dallas/Ft.Worth and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. - Xi Tau Lambda Chapter invites you to join us for our Alpha Legacy Celebration Scholarship Dinner & Gala! The event will honor our annual scholarship recipients in the Dallas area. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Sankofa Foundation Scholarship Program.
